The American cockroach is the largest species of common cockroach. They are mostly found in sewers and basements, particularly around pipes and drains. However, when they are found in homes, they have been known to cause allergic reactions, irritation, lesions, swelling and even minor infection.

Subterranean termites are by far the most destructive termite species. The hard, saw-toothed jaws of termites work like shears and are able to bite off extremely small fragments of wood, one piece at a time. Over time, they can collapse a building entirely.

Since the adults are attracted to trees to feed, they tend to lay most eggs in the higher portions of sod near wooded areas.Grubs can kill small plants and gnaw cavities in root vegetables.

Bed bugs are small, oval, brownish insects that live primarily on the blood of humans. Their flattened bodies make it possible for them to fit into tiny spaces, about the width of a credit card. They can enter your home undetected through luggage, clothing, used beds and couches.

Clothes moths are not dangerous but can cause serious damage to your personal belongs such as clothing, carpets and other materials made of natural fibers. Clothes moths prefer damp conditions such sweat on clothing. They can also be found in cracks or crevices near infested materials, carpets and other materials made of natural fibers.

Cluster flies particularly a nuisance as they leave stains on walls and curtains. If the flies die within the wall voids, they may attract larder beetles, which will feed on the dead flies and then migrate to other areas of the house. Cluster flies are dark grey with black and silver (non-metallic) checkered abdomens

House flies are generally attracted to garbage, decaying foods and feces, but are quick to feed on any exposed foods, leading to the spread of diseases. Typically found in urban and rural areas near humans, house flies often feed on any suitable food source and can be a carrier of diseases because of it.

Deer mice nest in safe locations close to food. They prefer to eat seeds, but they will also eat insects, slugs, snails, spiders and millipedes. In properties, nests are built in basements, attics, storage areas, wall voids, sill plates, structural corners and other tight spaces which offer shelter.

House mice nest in safe locations close to food, preferring spaces in double walls, above ceilings, underneath floors and closed-in areas around counters. They have a keen sense of touch, smell and hearing, and can run, climb, jump and swim very well. House mice eat almost the same food as humans.

Rats often live outdoors and then migrate inside when cool weather approaches. They nest in any safe location where food and water are available such as under rubbish, between walls or floors. Outdoors, they will burrow into the ground. Rats are known to be a source of numerous diseases affecting humans.
